Pemberton 2026 · That's a wrap

Weekender of Love, Music & Connection

BASSnNOVA

June 26–29, 2026

Pemberton, BC · Canada

That's a wrap. Thank you to everyone who shared the weekend with us on the farm — it was a blast.

BASS NOVA N

The Meaning

BASSnNOVA is a name built on two primal forces: Bass — the origin pulse of sound, the first vibration that moves through the universe — and Nova — a newly ignited star, a symbol of emergence and brilliance.

Together, they represent the birth of something new: a space where sound, music, and human expression converge. At the festival, new talents unfold like stars — through music, lectures, and workshops — creating fresh connections between people and the frequencies that unite them.

BASSnNOVA is where new sound becomes new light.

That Was a Blast

June 26–29, 2026 · Pemberton, BC

Four days of music, connection, love, and joy — together on the farm.

To everyone who showed up, played, danced, cooked, taught, volunteered, and held the space with us — thank you. You made it everything we hoped for, and then some. We can't wait to do it again.

About

Festival Vision

BASSnNOVA is a living space for creative self-expression, conscious presence, and meaningful human connection. At its heart, the festival exists to expand the circle — to bring people together through rhythm, art, shared experience, and authentic contact.

Atmosphere & Experience

BASSnNOVA unfolds in a warm, intimate, family-oriented environment. Music, shared meals, creative practices, and collective rituals weave together into one living field of experience. Within this space, people can rest and restore, dance and celebrate, create and collaborate, meet new people, and experience themselves more fully.

A private farm 50 minutes from Whistler, 2.5 hours from downtown Vancouver — beautiful mountains, open nature, and a closed, safe space. Easy access by road.

Scale & Intimacy

BASSnNOVA welcomes approximately 100 participants. This intimate scale nurtures closeness, visibility, and meaningful exchange. Each person becomes a vital part of the collective atmosphere.

Presence becomes practice. Connection becomes culture.

Community Spirit

Humanity

We meet one another with openness, respect, and compassion. Each person brings a unique energy into the collective field.

Creative Self-Expression

Music, movement, visual art, ideas, and collaboration are welcomed as living forms of expression.

Connection & Expansion

Every encounter offers space for new understanding and friendship. We encourage the widening of perspectives.

Voluntary Participation

Contribution arises from inner resonance. Time, energy, skills, and ideas are shared as expressions of belonging.

Co-Creation

The festival unfolds through collaboration. It evolves through the presence, creativity, and engagement of its community.

Program

Workshops & Schedule

Workshops, lectures, and experiences crafted to inspire connection, creativity, and presence.

Lena Bondareva

Master of Music in Classical Piano Performance | former theatre and film actress from Ukraine

Open Body, Open Voice

A playful workshop about freedom through body and voice. Through music, movement, and non-verbal expression, we explore different inner states in a safe and supportive atmosphere. We close by transitioning into a free dance from a more open, embodied, and authentic state.

Intimacy: The Art of Being Close Without Losing Yourself

We often think of intimacy as closeness, comfort, or even passion. But what if intimacy actually begins where all of that becomes a little bit uncertain?

Sexy Yoga

Start your day by reconnecting with your body. A lighthearted somatic journey to help you loosen up, drop into your body, and come back to your true self. Expect playful movement, sensual circles, and deliciously silly moments.

Masha & Dylan

Playful Introduction to Hustle

A light and playful introduction to Hustle — a partner dance built on improvisation, rhythm, and connection. Open to all levels — just come to move, smile, and be present.

Oila Goncharko

Improvisation Practice

Want to let your inner child out for some fresh air? Curious what happens when you stop being "normal" for an hour? Ready to express yourself, follow impulses, make weird choices, and maybe surprise yourself a little? Join this playful improv practice, where the basic rules of play create a safe space to move, laugh, explore, and become whatever version of you wants to show up today. No acting experience needed. Just bring yourself — and maybe leave your serious face at the tent entrance.

LEELA

LEELA — the Game of Life — is an ancient game of self-knowledge, played on a board of symbols where every roll of the dice mirrors a moment on your path. Alona has been guiding transformational games for 5+ years, online, offline, and on retreats (Omkara school, level 3).

Alexis Cavanagh

Breathwork Journey

A conscious connected breathwork practice designed to help participants move energy, release stress, connect with themselves, and deepen their festival experience. The session combines active breathing, breath retention, carefully curated music, guided awareness, and sound healing, followed by a grounding meditation.

Giving Back

A Boarding School in Dovbyska, Ukraine

Supporting children with disabilities.

The core purpose of the BASSnNOVA Weekender goes beyond music and gathering. We are coming together to support a meaningful cause — raising funds for a boarding school in the Ukrainian town of Dovbyska dedicated to children with disabilities.

The funds collected through the festival will go toward improving physical development and rehabilitation for children with disabilities — including the purchase of specialized training equipment and adaptive exercise machines designed to support their unique needs, strengthen motor skills, and enhance mobility, coordination, and overall well-being.

Guidelines

Community & Safety

Our festival is built on trust, care, and shared responsibility. By joining us, you become part of a living community that co-creates the atmosphere of the space.

  1. 01

    Lead with Respect

Treat everyone with kindness, dignity, and awareness. Different backgrounds, identities, and perspectives enrich our community. We honour that diversity.

  2. 02

    Practice Clear Consent

Consent is essential in all interactions — physical, emotional, creative, and digital. Ask. Listen. Respect the answer.

  3. 03

    Care for Yourself and Others

Take responsibility for your well-being. Stay hydrated, rest when needed, and look out for those around you.

  4. 04

    Contribute to a Safe Space

Follow guidance from facilitators and safety volunteers. Communicate openly if something feels uncomfortable.

  5. 05

    Respect the Land

The festival space is a shared home. Leave no trace. Reduce waste. Protect nature. Treat the environment with gratitude and care.

  6. 06

    Conscious Celebration

Music and celebration are powerful forces. Engage with them mindfully. Make choices that support both your well-being and the well-being of the community.

  7. 07

    Inclusive Energy

Everyone deserves to feel welcome. We actively create an environment free from exclusion, humiliation, or discrimination.

  8. 08

    Co-Creation Over Consumption

This is not a service environment — it is a shared experience. Bring your skills, ideas, energy, and presence.

  9. 09

    Open Communication

If something feels misaligned, speak to a team member. We value transparency, listening, and respectful conversation.

  10. 10

    Shared Responsibility

The atmosphere of the festival is not created by organizers alone. It lives through each participant. Your presence, actions, and awareness shape the whole.

By purchasing a ticket and attending the festival, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to abide by these Community & Safety Guidelines. The organizers reserve the right to take appropriate action when necessary to protect the integrity and well-being of the community.

Every adult also signs our participant waiver and site agreement on paper at the gate before entering the festival grounds. Read the full waiver text so you know what to expect.
